Phi Kappa Theta
Alpha Delta, Washington State University
As brothers of Phi Kappa Theta, we would like our lifelong commitment to the chapter to be shown to everyone we associate with, as the strongest and most beneficial affiliation possible. Our constant pursuit of excellence will be evident as we strive to uphold our ritual traditions and make our community a better place. Throughout these efforts we will continue to re-enforce our bonds of brotherhood with every means possible as we realize that our strength comes from within. Although we recognize that our college experience is, as in life, a continual growing process, we will attempt to address our weaknesses quickly and efficiently, while placing the needs of our chapter before all people or groups of people. Our actions will always represent those of gentlemen, leaders in all areas, scholars, and true brothers. These commitments will ensure Phi Kappa Theta will continue to be at the forefront of all organizations at Washington State University, across the nation, and throughout the world. We truly expect nothing but the best.
Organization Facts
Phi Kappa Theta is a national social fraternity founded on 4 ideals.
Fraternal: Our duty to man.
To provide the tangible and intangible aids necessary to establish a closely knit collegiate community whose members enjoy a mode of living that is conducive to the formation of gentlemen imbued with principles and ideals and to prepare them to contribute to the world community upon graduation.
Intellectual: Our duty to self and parents.
To remind our brothers that outstanding scholastic achievement is a primary personal responsibility, and to encourage a commitment to the university that provides each member with his intellectual formation.
Social: Our duty to society.
To encourage each member to identify himself with his collegiate and civic community by active participation and service, thus fostering a vigorous spirit of loyalty to Alma Mater and a selflessness to all men.
Spiritual: Our duty towards God.
To deepen the spiritual and enrich the temporal lives of its members through a well-balanced program of fraternal, intellectual, social and service activities.
Joining Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity will influence your life in many ways. You will be joining a closely-knit family bound together through brotherhood. You will be asked to work and live with your other brothers, and to afford each brother the same love and respect that you would any other family member. Through your journey in Phi Kappa Theta you will find that you have a relationship with your brothers that transcends friendship and attains the status of brotherhood. Fraternities espouse brotherhood and yet, the concept of brotherly love eludes many in society. Brotherhood is a responsibility to each other and to Phi Kappa Theta. Brotherhood is love, respect, sharing and family.
