At Washington State University, Kappa Sigma is the oldest recognized fraternity and holds nearly a century long tradition of providing young men with the ultimate college experience, both scholastically and socially. Kappa Sigma is a place where diverse young men develop and grow together throughout their college career and beyond. A full social calendar is balanced by the importance of academics. Joining Kappa Sigma allows students to excel academically and enjoy college social life to its fullest all the while making friends and memories that last a lifetime.

Kappa Sigma believes in the total development of today's college man, fostering a values-based fraternity environment on our principles of Fellowship, Leadership, Scholarship, and Service. The purpose of Kappa Sigma is to achieve the total development of a better man...academically, culturally, civically, and as a successful leader and role model to others. Kappa Sigma provides strong scholarship support, self-improvement opportunities, and an active social life for brothers.

Organization Facts

Founded on December 10, 1869 at the University of Virginia, Kappa Sigma has grown to over 10,000 undergraduates enrolled in 215 Chapters and Colonies in the United States and Canada. Being the fourth largest fraternity in the nation, Kappa Sigma is rich in tradition, tracing its origins to the 15th century in Bologna, Italy.
